A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a certified professional who applies the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to assess, understand, and modify behavior. BCBAs are responsible for conducting assessments, designing and overseeing individualized behavior intervention plans, supervising RBTs, and working across settings—including homes, schools, clinics, and communities—to improve communication, social skills, daily living abilities, and overall quality of life.

An ABA session is structured yet individualized. The therapist starts by building a positive connection with your child, then works on skills like communication, social interaction, academic skills and daily living through play and everyday activities. Therapists use positive reinforcement to encourage learning and follow a behavior plan to support or reduce challenging behaviors.

The onboarding and insurance authorization process typically takes 3–4 weeks. Following the initial assessment, Parent Training can usually begin immediately while the full treatment team is being established.
